Once Upon a Farm is the first organic, cold-pressed baby food company to be available nationwide in the US. Unlike traditional baby food jars that are heat-treated (cooked at high temperatures) so they can sit on a shelf for 2 years, Once Upon a Farm uses HPP (High-Pressure Processing). This uses cold pressure instead of heat to kill bacteria, which keeps the vitamins, nutrients, and actual taste of the fruits and veggies intact. Because of this, their pouches are sold in the refrigerator aisle, not the dry shelf, ensuring kids get food that is as close to homemade as possible.
