MCD Global Health is a public health nonprofit organization dedicated to designing, implementing, and assessing high-quality, enduring global health programs. Originally established to address the health needs of vulnerable and underserved populations in Maine, the organization expanded its reach internationally in 1977 and now operates in over 50 countries. MCD focuses on three primary areas: combating vector-borne diseases (such as leading major malaria elimination projects), building capacity by training the public health workforce, and expanding access to care through tech-forward initiatives like telehealth and virtual collaboration.
