About this role

Are you passionate about finance, operations, and technology in the dynamic world of artificial intelligence? Here's your chance to make a significant impact as we seek a talented working student to join our growing team. As we continue to expand, we're looking for a Working Student Finance to assist with our day-to-day financial operations while taking the initiative to automate and optimize processes using modern AI tools.

What you'll be doing

• Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable (invoices).

• Managing and actively following up on queries in the central finance inbox.

• Executing operational tasks and controls within expense management systems such as Pleo and Ramp.

• Proactively identifying opportunities and advising on automating and optimizing financial operations using AI tools such as Gemini, Claude, Copilot, and ChatGPT to enhance productivity and process efficiency.

• Supporting the finance team with various day-to-day operational and administrative tasks.

What we are looking for

• Available for 16 hours per week, with flexible hours (preferably set at fixed moments).

• Currently pursuing at least a Bachelor's degree (e.g., in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field).

• At least 1 year of accounting experience (such as processing bank transactions and accounts payable/receivable).

• Someone with advanced proficiency in Dutch, capable of working with Dutch accounting and banking systems.

• Hands-on knowledge and experience with various AI tools, such as Gemini, Claude, Copilot, and ChatGPT, to enhance productivity and process efficiency.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, self-starter mindset suitable for an international, remote-first environment.

• Eager to learn and excited to contribute to the growth and continuous improvement of Weaviate's finance function.
