Web Designer

About the Role: Popmenu is looking for a production-focused Web Designer to work directly inside our proprietary web builder to deliver ready-to-launch client websites. This role blends visual design with light front-end styling using CSS to ensure responsiveness, accessibility, and polish. Note: This is not a software engineering role.

What You'll Do

• Build and configure client websites directly within Popmenu's proprietary web builder.
• Apply HTML and CSS to refine layouts, resolve styling edge cases, and meet ADA requirements.
• Execute efficient, template-based site builds while maintaining visual quality and brand alignment.
• Support the broader design team by assisting with design support requests, fixes, and enhancements.
• Apply SEO best practices for page structure, metadata, and image descriptions using AI tools.

What You Bring

• Intermediate proficiency in HTML and CSS (1+ year), with a focus on layout, responsiveness, and accessibility.
• Strong foundation in branding and web design principles, including hierarchy, typography, and mobile-first design.
• Working knowledge of responsive layouts (Flexbox/Grid) and browser DevTools.
• Moderate experience with graphic editing tools (Photoshop, GIMP, Affinity, or similar).
• Ability to make thoughtful design decisions when brand assets are incomplete or minimal.
