UI Engineer at Atolio

The Role

We're looking for a UI Engineer to help design and build the next generation of user experiences at Atolio. You'll work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to create intuitive, high-performance applications that power AI-driven workflows.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building complex web applications, frontend architecture, and user-facing product experiences. You'll contribute across the full product development lifecycle, from technical design and implementation to performance optimization and user experience improvements.

You'll join a modern engineering environment that embraces the latest technologies, AI-assisted development workflows, and rapid iteration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build high-quality user interfaces for complex web applications for responsive platforms like desktop and mobile.

• Develop scalable frontend architecture and reusable component systems.

• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver end-to-end features.

• Build user experiences that leverage AI and agent-driven workflows.

• Use modern AI-assisted and agentic coding tools to improve development velocity and code quality.

• Participate in technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and engineering planning.

• Optimize application performance, accessibility, responsiveness, and usability.

• Contribute to frontend standards, best practices, and code reviews.

• Help shape the future direction of our product and user experience.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on frontend development.

• Experience building modern web applications using React, Vue, Angular, or a similar frontend framework.

• Strong proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript.

• Experience designing and implementing scalable frontend architecture.

• Strong understanding of component-based development and state management patterns.

• Experience working closely with product and design teams.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering workflows.

• Experience with modern build tooling such as Vite.

• Experience writing and maintaining end-to-end tests with Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving startup environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Svelte or interest in learning it quickly.
