Threat Intelligence Analyst

About the Role: Moniepoint Inc. is Africa's all-in-one financial ecosystem, helping 10 million businesses and individuals access seamless payments. We are looking for a Threat Intelligence Analyst to support our security operations by monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on emerging cyber threats targeting the financial sector. You will translate threat data into actionable intelligence alongside our SOC, Fraud Operations, and Product Security teams.

What You'll Do

• Monitor open-source, dark web, and underground forums for threats relevant to Moniepoint.
• Collect Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) and perform triage to determine relevance and risk.
• Map adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) to MITRE ATT&CK.
• Conduct regular vulnerability scans on networks, systems, and applications to ensure timely remediation.
• Assist in Incident Response tasks, validate alerts, and support investigations related to phishing and account takeover.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity concepts (malware, phishing, ransomware, fraud) and OSINT.
• 3 - 5 years of experience in SOC, IR, or Threat Intelligence is preferred.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, SIEM, EDR, and Threat Intelligence Tools.
• Bonus: Exposure to fintech sector threats and certifications such as Security+ or EC-Council CTIA.
