Job Description
About the Role: Dwelly is a UK-based, AI-enabled lettings and property management platform. We are looking for a Telecommunication Engineer to take ownership of the communication infrastructure powering customer and internal interactions. This role focuses on telephony, messaging, email, and WhatsApp channels, ensuring reliable operations while supporting integrations, acquisitions, and continuous optimisation.
What You'll Do
- Own the day-to-day performance and reliability of Dwelly's communication channels including IP telephony, SMS/RCS, and WhatsApp Business API (WABA).
- Build, maintain, and optimise telephony routing scenarios, inbound/outbound call flows, and other advanced workflows.
- Deliver integrations across communication systems using APIs, webhooks, and WebSockets.
- Handle internal support requests, investigate issues, coordinate with vendors, and drive resolution during service disruptions.
- Assess the telecom stack of acquired agencies, supporting number porting processes and agency migrations.
What You Bring
- Strong understanding of telephony systems, SIP, trunks, routing logic, and VoIP operations.
- Experience troubleshooting telecom incidents across voice, SMS, email, or messaging channels.
- Ability to work with APIs, logs, JSON, webhooks, and provider documentation.
- Bonus: Experience with Twilio, Vonage, Voximplant, UK number porting, and contact centre environments.
