Technical Writer – EdTech

About the Role: Remote World is partnering with a UK-based EdTech company to hire a Technical Writer. They build an online learning platform used by over 500 universities and corporate training teams worldwide. In this role, you will write end-user and administrator documentation to make complex software feel easy for instructors and administrators, reducing support load and increasing product adoption.

What You'll Do

• Write administrator guides, instructor manuals, and student help content.
• Document platform setup, configuration, and integration workflows.
• Create training materials and onboarding content for new institution customers.
• Collaborate with the product team to document new features at launch.
• Maintain and improve existing documentation based on support feedback.

What You Bring

• Excellent written English with a clear, accessible style.
• Ability to understand software products quickly and explain them to non-technical users.
• Strong organizational skills to manage a documentation project from brief to publish.
• An empathetic writing approach, considering the reader's level of confidence, not just their task.
• Bonus: Experience in education, e-learning, instructional design, or familiarity with LMS platforms (Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard).
