Technical Program Manager — Platform Migration

About the Role: At Cayuse, we empower organizations to conduct globally connected research that advances science and discovery. The Technical Program Manager (TPM) — Platform Migration will lead our most consequential cross-functional initiative: migrating 500+ product instances across a 600+ customer base to a standardized, scalable platform. This role sits at the intersection of R&D, Product Management, and Professional Services.

What You'll Do

  • Own the end-to-end migration program: sequencing, milestones, risk management, and success criteria across all customer segments.
  • Build a standardized, repeatable migration framework and maintain the migration runbook (tooling, cutover procedures, rollback protocols).
  • Partner with engineering to lead the end-to-end design, development, testing, and execution of migration plans.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure to develop automation pipelines that streamline new instance provisioning and legacy decommissioning.
  • Coordinate with Customer Success to manage customer readiness and minimize disruption during migration windows.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years in Technical Program Management, Engineering Program Management, or a closely related role at SaaS companies.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale, multi-customer migration or platform transition programs.
  • Proven ability to drive alignment across R&D, Product, and Go-to-Market organizations without direct reporting authority.
  • Experience building structured program management frameworks, playbooks, and runbooks.
  • Bonus: Experience in research administration, technical fluency with APIs and system architecture, and PMP/PgMP certification.
