Job Description

About the Role: High Voltage Software is seeking a talented Technical Game Designer to join our growing team. In this role, you'll use your expertise in design tools and excellent sense of scale to enhance project quality and deliver fresh, immersive experiences. You will be the go-to person for complex content implementation, collaborating closely with artists, designers, and engineers.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the implementation of significant gameplay components using Blueprint Scripting, Replication, Sequences, and Replays.
  • Collaborate closely with design leaders to develop and refine engaging gameplay experiences.
  • Iterate, polish, and balance gameplay mechanics and systems.
  • Employ Unreal Blueprint to execute in-game content and build functional prototypes.
  • Test and validate your work on target hardware to ensure an immersive player experience.

What You Bring

  • Minimum 1 year of game design experience in the industry, with 1–2 years using Unreal Engine 5 on production-quality projects.
  • Proficiency with visual scripting languages, particularly UE Blueprints.
  • Familiarity with coding principles including data types, logical operators, functions, and inheritance.
  • Strong analytical skills, technical independence, and an in-depth knowledge of gameplay mechanics.
  • Bonus: Experience with C++ or C#, multiplayer games, Gameplay Ability System (GAS), Verse, and World Partition.
