The Role
We're looking for a Technical Accounting Manager to be our go-to person on technical accounting research, keeping our accounting policies current, and assisting with complex transaction accounting for the company. This role is distinct from the core close/consolidation function — it's focused on getting the judgment calls right: revenue recognition for complex or bundled hardware/software arrangements, new accounting pronouncements, and one-off or non-routine transactions. You'll report to the Assistant Controller and act as the internal technical resource for the rest of the accounting and finance operations team, as well as a key liaison to external auditors on complex matters.
Given our hardware-enabled SaaS model and multi-entity structure reporting under IFRS, this role has real scope for meaningful technical work — multi-element revenue arrangements, lease accounting, share-based payments, and financial instruments, among others.
