Staff Software Engineer – Core Developer Experience (DevEx)

About the Role: AlphaSense is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the Core Developer Experience (Core DX) team and help make AlphaSense an exceptional environment for building software. In this role, you'll focus on enabling ~400 global engineers to work at high velocity by reducing friction and improving the speed and quality of feedback in local development.

What You'll Do

• Improve the inner development loop (local dev, build, test) for fast, reliable feedback.
• Build, roll out, and operate internal developer platforms (IDP) and self-service tooling.
• Integrate and advance AI across the SDLC (coding, testing, documentation, workflows).
• Establish and improve developer productivity metrics and engineering insights (e.g., DORA, DX).
• Collaborate with CloudDX to improve CI/CD and the overall developer journey.

What You Bring

• Strong experience in Developer Experience, Platform Engineering, or Internal Tooling.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, improving reliability, speed, and predictability.
• Experience defining and using developer productivity metrics.
• Hands-on experience with, or strong drive to adopt, AI-enabled workflows across the SDLC.
• Bonus: Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes, test platforms, and progressive delivery.
