• Driving technical direction across our teams.
• Building the systems that allow us to scale globally.
• Continuously innovating on our use of AI internally to drive gains across product and engineering.
• Releasing your work to 100,000+ users multiple times a day in tight AI-driven iterations.
• Building the products that will shape how public services are delivered globally.
• Taking ownership over departmental technical direction.

What we’re looking for

You would be an amazing fit as a Staff Engineer if you have:

• Breadth of experience across infrastructure, backend, frontend, and data.
• Proven experience evolving systems for scale.
• Product mindset, passionate about building the right thing.
• Genuine excitement about the power of AI and how it will shape our profession.
• Openness to learning our stack: Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, PostgreSQL running on GCP. React + TypeScript on the client backed by our shadcn design system.
