Staff Engineer - Modern Workplace Technology at Civica

This role as a Staff Engineer at Civica is ideal for a highly technical expert in Microsoft workplace solutions who enjoys solving complex business challenges, influencing senior leaders, and leading enterprise-scale transformation programs.

As the technical authority across Microsoft’s workplace ecosystem, you will shape and drive Civica’s workplace technology strategy. Your responsibilities will include leading architecture, solution design, technical governance, and large-scale transformation initiatives across a global enterprise environment.

You will work within Civica’s Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Microsoft 365 function, providing strategic and hands-on technical leadership across Microsoft Entra, Microsoft 365, Intune, End User Computing (EUC), Copilot, Power Platform, automation, and emerging AI-enabled workplace technologies. You will define architectural standards, influence technology roadmaps, and ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.

Operating within a matrix environment, you will lead through influence, collaborating with cross-functional teams globally to drive outcomes, shape strategic decisions, and deliver impactful workplace technology solutions at scale.

• Leading complex technical delivery and transformation programs

Preferred Experience:

• Enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 and Modern Workplace transformation initiatives
• Microsoft Copilot governance, administration, and adoption
• Power Platform governance, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and environment strategy
• Microsoft Security technologies including Defender, Purview, and Entra ID Governance
• Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) integration, tenant consolidation, and service migrations
• Defining architectural standards, patterns, guardrails, and best practices
• Mentoring senior engineers and leading through influence in matrix environments
• Experience working within large global organizations (5,000+ users)

• Relevant Microsoft certifications such as SC-100, SC-300, MS-102, AZ-500, MD-102, or equivalent
• A proven track record delivering architecture, governance, and transformation programs in enterprise environments
• A strong understanding of Identity, Access Management, Security, Compliance, and Zero Trust principles
