They’ve closed 130+ transactions in the last two years, facilitating billions in capital for renewables.
An inflection point in American energy and manufacturing
Energy demand is growing for the first time in decades, requiring new clean energy infrastructure, domestic supply chains, and capital. Traditional financing is opaque and fragmented. Crux is changing that with insights, white-glove service, purpose-built tools, and risk underwriting to power a cleaner, more secure energy future.
Crux is scaling rapidly and seeks a Sr. Director of Partnerships to own and scale their partnerships program across channel/referral, product-enabled, and research & IP motions.
The opportunity
This leader will manage the full lifecycle of institutional partner relationships (Big 4 accounting firms, AmLaw law firms, insurance brokers, trade associations, EPCs, independent engineers, and financial intermediaries) while building scalable and measurable operational infrastructure. The role involves leading a team of four direct reports, orchestrating across commercial, research, events, content, product, legal, and operations, and driving platform adoption so partner firms use Crux directly for deal diligence and document finalization.
Key responsibilities
Partnership program architecture & scaling
- Own and evolve Crux’s partnership program across three motions: channel/referral, product-enabled (legal intelligence, platform integrations), and research & IP (co-authored research, benchmarking, standardized documentation)
- Build tiered partner frameworks with clear activation criteria, enablement programs, co-sell motions, and performance metrics for each tier and persona
- Operationalize partner management in HubSpot and internal systems, tracking referrals, attribution, partner health, and ROI
Partner acquisition & portfolio expansion
- Build and run a repeatable partner acquisition program to systematically expand the partner portfolio, identifying, qualifying, and activating target and emerging partner personas
- Develop standardized outreach, qualification criteria, and onboarding motions for quick ramp-up of new partners
- Maintain a portfolio view of all partnerships, knowing when to double down, restructure, or exit
Enterprise relationship management
- Manage and deepen relationships with institutional partners including Big 4 firms, AmLaw law firms, insurance brokers, and trade associations
- Develop and execute partner enablement content, co-branded campaigns, and joint GTM motions tailored to each partner persona
- Negotiate and manage commercial terms including referral agreements, revenue share, co-marketing commitments, and alliance structures
Platform adoption through partner channels
- Drive partner firms to adopt the Crux platform for deal diligence, document finalization, and transaction workflows
- Partner with product and research to evolve product- and intelligence-enabled motions
- Track and improve platform adoption metrics per partner, tying adoption to enablement efforts and relationship depth
Content-led engagement & events
- Own the strategic direction of the market intelligence briefing series and thought leadership programs using Crux’s market and legal intelligence
- Architect and scale a robust events program including partner briefings, co-hosted receptions, conference activations, and regional roadshows
- Drive partner-facing presence at key conferences with a clear strategy for each
Cross-functional orchestration
- Coordinate extensively with research, content, events, commercial teams, and RevOps
- Act as the strategic coordinator of partner programs, ensuring partner insights flow back into product and commercial strategy
Team leadership
- Lead a team of four direct reports with distinct focuses across channel relationships, events/operations, and legal/product-enabled partnerships
- Develop career paths for the team and hire additional headcount as the program scales
- Build a team culture of operational rigor, commercial accountability, and creative partner engagement
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or alliance management, with at least 4 years leading and scaling a partnership team
- Demonstrated experience building a partnership program from growth stage into a structured, tiered operation
- Track record of owning a revenue number tied to partner-sourced pipeline, with experience building attribution models and managing commercial terms
- Deep experience managing enterprise relationships with large, complex institutional partners (Big 4, AmLaw firms, large financial institutions)
- Strong cross-functional leadership and ability to orchestrate across teams you don't directly manage (research, content, events, product, commercial)
- Experience running content-led, events-driven, or thought leadership-driven partner engagement programs
Preferred qualifications
- Financial services, structured finance, tax, or capital markets adjacency
- Experience with product-enabled partnerships where partners are embedded in a platform experience
- Clean energy finance knowledge or demonstrated ability to learn complex technical domains quickly
- Familiarity with emerging partner personas in energy transition (commodity brokers/traders, financial intermediaries, cost segregation & appraisal providers, independent engineering firms)

Crux (operating under cruxclimate.com) is the premier, enterprise-grade sustainable finance infrastructure platform, transferable clean energy tax credit marketplace pioneer, and climate-focused ecosystem innovator engineered to operate as the definitive, high-velocity transactional, risk-mitigation, and compliance layer for developers, corporate buyers, and institutional banks participating in the multi-billion dollar clean energy economy. The company completely eliminates the severe systemic friction born from the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) tax credit ecosystem—where project developers, multi-national syndicates, and corporate treasuries face highly opaque price discovery mechanics, fragmented legal underwriting loops, prolonged contract completion times, and a lack of scalable risk transfer options—by deploying an advanced, purpose-built digital trading and transferability matrix. Moving far beyond traditional, passive offline brokerage desks or rudimentary spreadsheet matching systems, Crux natively unifies real-time competitive bidding, structured legal documentation workflows, automated tax equity risk profiling, and centralized data governance into a single high-availability cloud workspace. Trusted by leading global infrastructure developers and Fortune 500 tax buyers alike, the platform manages hundreds of millions of dollars in transaction pipelines, compressing capital acquisition timelines and unlocking vital project financing with production-hardened precision. Under the hood, its sophisticated technical core—backed by over $22 million in elite venture capital from top-tier institutional firms including Lowercarbon Capital, Ardent Venture Partners, and One Way Ventures—orchestrates complex multi-tenant workflow engines, advanced financial modeling structures, and secure audit trails matching strict compliance parameters. What sets Crux apart is its uncompromising dedication to replacing slow, custom-negotiated transactions with standard, highly efficient, and transparent market velocity; by bridging the gap between performance-intensive big data capital mapping and instantaneous regulatory project closing, the firm remains the definitive cornerstone of modern algorithmic sustainable finance and clean energy credit scaling.
