Solutions Engineer at Omni

As a Solutions Engineer at Omni, you’ll serve as a trusted technical expert on the Omni platform, empowering customers to maximize their data’s potential throughout the customer lifecycle.

You’ll lead the technical aspects of every deal, collaborating closely with your Account Executive to develop a unified strategy. This involves conducting comprehensive technical evaluations from discovery to proof-of-concept, engaging directly with prospects’ data and environments. Your role is to drive these evaluations forward, provide a clear technical perspective, and contribute valuable feedback to shape product direction based on real-world insights.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Sales team to deliver technical expertise throughout the sales process, identifying and validating use cases to highlight the value of the Omni platform.

• Design and execute Proofs of Concept (POCs) within the Omni Platform as part of the evaluation process, guiding prospective customers on how to effectively utilize Omni with their data.

• Ensure smooth transitions from trials to successful customer onboarding by collaborating with post-sales teams and planning ongoing support with our partners.

• Actively engage with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to gather user feedback and influence product direction.

About You:

• Requires 5-7+ years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence, with exceptional customer-facing communication skills.

• Must possess strong SQL skills, leveraging SQL for analytics purposes.

• Familiarity with the modern data stack, including cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, and Redshift, and transformation tools like dbt.

• Comfortable owning technical conversations directly with customers.

• Passionate about working with data, with a love for learning and enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring others.

• Experience with business intelligence and/or enterprise data analytics tools such as Looker, Omni, Tableau, Power BI, Mode, Sisense, etc.

• Preferred: Experience at a high-growth, Series A-D startup.
