Job Description

About the Role: Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly. As a Senior Technical Account Manager, you will be responsible for the technical success of our largest merchants post-sale. You will advise developers, product teams, and business partners, implementing our products into their existing architecture and helping them scale while solving business objectives with technical strategies.

What You'll Do

  • Lead technical relationships for a named set of merchants, fostering long-term partnerships and building trust with technical counterparts.
  • Manage and provide technical guidance for new merchant integrations to reduce risk and drive new feature adoption.
  • Quickly resolve critical technical issues and quarterback multi-departmental efforts for timely resolution.
  • Provide early feedback to engineering and product teams while iterating on new products.
  • Identify areas to improve operational efficiencies and onboard merchants more quickly.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience as a TAM, Solutions Engineer, or in a customer-facing technical role owning developer relationships.
  • Comfortable reading code in at least two programming languages and fluent in discussing technical concepts with developers.
  • Strong project management skills, capable of influencing internal and external partners to stay on schedule.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a deep command of the written word.
  • Bonus: Technical degree, familiarity with the payments ecosystem, web/mobile app architecture, and comfortable writing code.
