Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
You’ll provide senior technical leadership across multiple engineering teams, systems, and business domains.
- Drive architecture, design, and implementation of scalable, reliable, secure, and maintainable software systems.
- Lead complex cross-functional technical initiatives from discovery and design through delivery and production operation.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Data, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Customer Experience, and business stakeholders to connect technical decisions with business outcomes.
- Design and guide implementation of backend services, APIs, integrations, platform capabilities, and distributed systems.
- Evaluate existing systems and identify opportunities to improve reliability, scalability, performance, observability, maintainability, cost efficiency, and developer productivity.
- Influence technical strategy, roadmap planning, architecture standards, and prioritization across teams.
- Establish and promote strong engineering practices across code quality, testing, CI/CD, monitoring, documentation, security, and operational excellence.
- Mentor Staff Engineers, senior engineers, and technical leads, helping raise the bar for architecture, execution, ownership, and technical judgment.
- Help teams make thoughtful trade-offs across speed, quality, scalability, reliability, security, cost, and long-term maintainability.
- Lead or support modernization efforts across legacy and modern systems, platforms, and integrations.
- Contribute to systems supporting customer communications, telephony, contact center workflows, servicing platforms, and enterprise integrations where needed.
- Participate in production support, incident reviews, root-cause analysis, and long-term reliability improvements for critical systems.
- Identify practical ways to use AI-assisted engineering tools and automation to improve development workflows, operational efficiency, knowledge sharing, and team effectiveness.
