Senior Software Engineer - Human Data Platform Development

Anyone AI Labs — Anyone AI’s Human Data Division owns the Human Data platform, encompassing RL/coding/STEM evaluation environments, pipelines, project taxonomies, and the admin/ops surface, including payments, task approval/reject, roles, revenue, and cost management.

This role involves the development of the platform that runs Anyone AI’s Human Data work end-to-end. Responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

• Design, stand up, and harden RL, coding, STEM, and other evaluation environments that contributors and internal teams can reliably and repeatedly run against, meeting the quality bar expected by labs.
• Lead platform development for project structuring, including pipelines from brief → tasks → QC → delivery, and maintain coherent project taxonomies as new domains and clients are added.
• Support the operational layer by managing payments/payouts, task approval/rejection flows, RBAC and roles management, and visibility into project revenue and cost.
• Set the technical direction for the platform, prioritize ruthlessly between environment work, pipeline development, and admin firefighting, and leave the system more instrumented and operable than found.

Experience

• Owned a multi-sided platform involving operators, contributors, and internal stakeholders, not just feature slices.
• Built or deeply operated systems in human data, RLHF, labeling, or model evaluation (or very close), including RL/eval harnesses, annotation pipelines, coding/STEM eval environments.
• Shipped admin or back-office workflows such as approvals, roles/permissions, payments/payouts, and operational metrics.
• Led a technical initiative with high ambiguity on a small team.

Qualifications

• Senior software engineer with 4+ years of experience, or equivalent ownership, in backend or full-stack roles, comfortable owning a production web product and the services behind it.
• Proven autonomy to take a messy domain like human data/evals and turn it into a roadmap and shipped systems.
• Working fluency with how frontier human-data and evaluation work actually runs, including tasks, QC, environments, and expert workflows, to design for it rather than just implement specs.
• Nice to have: Experience with environment orchestration (containers, workers, sandboxes), prior work at or adjacent to companies like Scale AI, Surge, Handshake AI, Labelbox, or other platforms, and familiarity with modern web/data stacks.
• Fluent in English; Spanish is a nice-to-have.
