Senior Software Engineer, DevOps - India

About the Role: JumpCloud is an AI-powered unified IT management platform designed to secure the modern workforce. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (DevOps) to join our Infrastructure team. You will be a key contributor to the evolution of our Kubernetes-based platform, taking the lead on major infrastructure initiatives that multiply the effectiveness of the entire engineering organization.

What You'll Do

• Architect and maintain production-grade container clusters and microservices at scale using Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules using Terraform for multi-account, multi-region AWS infrastructure.
• Own the lifecycle of vital platforms and write clean, maintainable code to automate manual toil and build internal platform tools.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines, secrets management (HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager), and highly available distributed systems.
• Participate in on-call shifts to ensure critical systems remain reliable and alerts are addressed promptly.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of professional experience in infrastructure, platform, or DevOps engineering.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services (EKS, IAM, VPC, Route53) and high-availability distributed systems design.
• Strong proficiency in Terraform, Kubernetes, and observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
• Experience with secrets management and deploying applications in a public cloud environment.
• Bonus: Experience with Service Meshes (Istio, Linkerd), container orchestration (Nomad, ECS), and utilizing AI for infrastructure optimization.
