About the Role: At Vanta, our mission is to help businesses earn and prove trust. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer for our Design Systems team to build tooling that empowers internal teams to easily build consistent and high-quality user experiences. You will drive complex initiatives, lead technical direction, and act as a force multiplier across our growing engineering organization.

What You'll Do

  • Build, maintain, and update existing shared UI components to ensure they are consistent, bug-free, well-tested, and well-documented.
  • Act as a leader for UI/UX best practices and standards, bringing a high bar for design craft.
  • Educate all engineers in UX, industry standards, and our Design System guidance.
  • Drive technical direction within your team and make key technical decisions for the system's stance.
  • Mentor and uplevel junior teammates through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.

What You Bring

  • 5-8 years of industry experience with deep expertise in frontend engineering, design systems, and accessibility.
  • Strong expertise in TypeScript, React, component architecture, state management, and frontend performance optimization.
  • Proficiency in system design and software architecture with a strong sense of design craft.
  • Demonstrated leadership through mentoring teammates and driving technical decisions.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.

  • Cash Range $169,000 – $199,000 USD per year, plus equity.
