Position Overview

We are seeking a highly autonomous, systems-fluent, and development-oriented Senior Software Engineer to play a critical role within our Carrier Engineering squad under a permanent, full-time remote configuration based in the United States. In this high-leverage software design and API orchestration seat, you will act as a primary technical authority responsible for developing, scaling, and operating high-concurrency production applications that directly move the physical world. Shifting completely away from routine non-regulated data transcription loops, superficial page styling fixes, or passive customer support logging, you will operate an active multi-tenant container orchestration, distributed microservices routing, and low-latency API integration laboratory. Partnering directly beside distributed product managers, designers, and core infrastructure squads, you will drive architecture reviews and lead groups of 3+ software engineers. This position requires an engineering leader with 6+ years of professional history who handles multi-platform code layers fluidly natively using Backend, Python, and DevOps primitives, commands complete operational intimacy with modern cloud scaling patterns, and designs scalable relational data models independently.

Key Responsibilities

• High-Scale Application Governance: Design, implement, test, and debug highly robust software components and distributed systems architectures natively utilizing Backend engineering best practices.
• ECommerce API Integration Control: Architect, maintain, and optimize scalable, high-performing developer REST APIs with an uncompromised focus on long-term technical direction, stability, and system operability.
• Container Orchestration Instrumentation: Deploy, manage, and scale high-availability carrier microservices natively within production-grade Kubernetes-based infrastructure environments.
• Core Language Programming Execution: Formulate clean, maintainable, and high-performance server logic, deploying hands-on code development natively using Golang frameworks alongside ancillary components written in Python.
• Cross-Functional Technical Translation: Partner closely next to product management cells and digital stakeholders to translate complex business objectives into concrete technical specifications and system layouts.
• Technical Practice Standardization: Conduct comprehensive code reviews, manage distributed version control tracking, and formulate clear architecture documentation to maintain codebase integrity and share systems knowledge across engineering pods.
• Automated Telemetry Triage: Design, program, and execute automated unit tests, integration test suites, and infrastructure performance validations to secure platform reliability and maximize deployment velocity.
• Productive Workflow AI Integration: Actively utilize generative AI assistants and code automation tools to streamline developer workflows, minimize technical debt, and increase engineering efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• A minimum of 6+ years of proven, successful professional software engineering experience building, operating, and evolving production-scale web applications, cloud-native APIs, and distributed systems.
• A minimum of 2+ years of dedicated, hands-on professional software development history actively writing and debugging code blocks natively in Golang.
• A minimum of 2+ years of practical tracking history designing, deploying, and monitoring microservices architectures inside containerized Kubernetes-based environments natively leveraging DevOps tools.
• At least 3+ years of focused experience designing, building, and maintaining multi-tenant, high-concurrency backend services and relational or NoSQL database storage models.
• Demonstrated technical leadership background, with a proven track record driving design evaluations, influencing code quality criteria, and making architecture choices for teams of 3+ software engineers.
• Outstanding written, verbal, and textual presentation communication strengths in English, with an established background gaining alignment across teams and unblocking execution obstacles using Agile tools like Jira.
• Location Context: Position operates under 100% remote parameters open exclusively to qualified full-stack software and cloud platform engineering authorities residing permanently within the United States.
