Senior Software Developer

About the Role: At Hive, we're all about creating moments that matter and helping event marketers connect with their biggest fans. Our platform powers marketing for 1,500+ iconic events. As a Senior Software Developer, you will ingest high-volume data in real-time, scale technical solutions, and build new features that our users will love.

What You'll Do

• Rapidly build new features, continuously refining them based on feedback.
• Contribute to code reviews, technical spec reviews, technical planning, and architectural decision-making.
• Find solutions to optimize bottlenecks and general system-wide performance.
• Collaborate on designing scalable, well-documented web architecture, including APIs and backend systems.
• Work directly with the customer success team to solve customer-impacting problems.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of experience building highly performant web applications.
• Strong experience with Frontend (React, Redux, Typescript) and Backend (Python, Django) technologies.
• Experience collaborating closely with Product & Design to implement end-to-end product experiences.
• Ability to clearly articulate technical tradeoffs and work effectively in a remote, async environment.
• Note: Must be legally able to work within Canada and based in the country.
