About the Revenue Team
The Revenue team drives Affirm’s top-line growth through strategic partnerships, pricing, and go-to-market execution. We acquire, retain, and expand merchant relationships across eCommerce, in-store, telesales, and the Affirm app. The team leads onboarding, relationship management, and performance optimization to help partners succeed. We deliver value-added solutions, drive adoption, and support long-term business growth by connecting merchants and consumers through Affirm’s products.
As a Senior Salesforce Engineer, you will be an integral member of the Business Systems team within Revenue. You will collaborate closely with Business Systems colleagues and key cross-functional stakeholders to craft and deliver technical solutions that transform how our Revenue organization operates. We look for candidates who strive for simple, sophisticated solutions, communicate clearly and proactively across all levels of the organization, and continuously sharpen both their technical and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate works nimbly in a fast-moving environment, brings XFN partners along on technical decisions, and actively raises the bar for those around them.
What You'll Do
- Define and review technical designs for custom development, integrations, and data migrations, ensuring adherence to best practices for security, performance, and long-term maintainability
- Serve as a technical thought leader by continuously evaluating new Salesforce capabilities, including Salesforce Flow, Agentforce, and Einstein AI, and proactively recommending adoption paths that deliver measurable business value
- Design, build, and govern integrations between Salesforce and adjacent systems using Workato, and drive complex multi-quarter initiatives end-to-end, owning solution architecture, scoping, risk assessment, and communication on timelines and tradeoffs
- Partner closely with XFN stakeholders across Engineering, Sales, Legal, and Operations to gather requirements, co-design solutions, and communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Mentor and actively develop other Salesforce engineers on the team, providing architecture guidance, reviewing design decisions, sharing knowledge through pairing and documentation, and supporting the team's long-term growth and career development
- Set the strategic direction for the optimization and evolution of Salesforce, Ironclad, and adjacent Revenue systems, ensuring solutions scale with the business and materially improve merchant and revenue organization experiences
- Own end-to-end architecture and governance of CPQ solutions and cross-system contract lifecycle strategy, aligning CLM, CRM, and data platforms while defining standards for pricing data models, contract alignment, and downstream reporting to ensure accuracy, scalability, audit-ability, and compliance
What We Look For
- BA/BS or equivalent 4-year degree or equivalent experience
- Expert-level proficiency in Salesforce.com (5+ years in complex enterprise orgs)
- 4+ years of experience developing with Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce Flow
- 2+ years of experience building and maintaining integrations with Workato or comparable iPaaS tools, including recipe design, error handling, and documentation
- Proficiency with Salesforce DevOps tooling, including Gearset or comparable CI/CD platforms and Salesforce DX / Git-based source control workflows
- Familiarity with Salesforce Agentforce and Einstein AI capabilities and how they apply to Revenue workflows
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of translating complex technical work into clear updates for business stakeholders and leadership
- Ability to build trust and strong working relationships across Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Revenue teams
- Experience with Clay or comparable data enrichment and GTM workflow automation platforms (highly preferred, not required)
- Core Pardot experience
- Expert-level proficiency in Salesforce CPQ (5+ years)
- 2+ years of experience configuring Ironclad or comparable CLM tools; Ironclad CLM Core Administration badge or equivalent CLM certification
- Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Salesforce Platform Developer I and II and/or Salesforce CPQ Specialist certifications
- Experience effectively using AI tools to improve productivity, solve business problems, and streamline workflows
