Requirements

As a Senior Python Developer, you will be the backbone of our client's professional development platform, focusing on high-quality backend engineering and scalable system design.

Responsibilities

• Lead the re-platforming effort to migrate legacy Java Spring Boot microservices into a modern Django-based Python API and React frontend architecture.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable, robust RESTful APIs in Python (Django/DRF) to support core product functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to migrate service logic, ensure data integrity, and minimize system downtime during the migration phase.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code across both backend (Python) and frontend (React) services.
• Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making to optimize platform performance and developer experience.

Qualifications and Requirements

Must-Haves

• 5+ years of professional development experience (language-agnostic)
• 3+ years of professional backend development experience using Python, with demonstrated proficiency in Django, including Django REST Framework (DRF).
• Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience implementing system design patterns.
• Understanding of distributed systems, microservices-oriented architecture, message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• High proficiency with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL), SQL query optimization, and ORMs.
• Solid experience using modern DevOps/CI/CD pipelines.

Nice-to-Haves

• Previous experience refactoring/migrating legacy codebases.
• Professional experience working with Java and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience building dynamic, responsive user interfaces using React.
• Proven experience in API integrations.
• Experience working with NoSQL databases.
