Position Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical, technically minded Senior Project Manager / Program Manager to join our core Delivery division in a full-time capacity with unlimited home office flexibility in Sofia, Bulgaria. In this high-trust, cross-functional engineering execution seat, you will assume absolute individual accountability for leading complex technology programs, technical transformation tracks, and large-scale software implementations from initial scoping through to deployment. Moving completely past passive checklist tracking, you will dig directly into architectural problem details, evaluate system dependencies, and align multi-tenant release pipelines safely with our broader corporate business roadmaps. This role demands a seasoned agile operator who brings authoritative SDLC fluency, commands robust project budget controls, and can smoothly orchestrate delivery across diverse multinational setups.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Program Delivery: Lead the full lifecycle execution of enterprise software initiatives, steering development tracks from initial scoping and resource planning straight through to live system releases.
- Proactive Blocker Triage: Go far beyond abstract status reporting to systematically discover architecture bottlenecks, dig into complex operational problem details, and drive rapid technical resolutions alongside software engineers.
- Agile Scope Lifecycle Management: Define, monitor, and optimize cross-functional project scopes, multi-million-dollar budgets, milestone timelines, and resource plans using Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
- Cross-Functional Team Coordination: Connect and synchronize operational workflows across distributed backend development, QA validation, and cloud DevOps cells inside hybrid, multinational environments.
- Risk & Dependency Governance: Own comprehensive risk mitigation plans, surfacing infrastructural dependencies early to establish defensible and repeatable project change controls.
- Multi-Level Stakeholder Alignment: Cultivate deep, trusted professional relationships with cross-functional corporate cells, communicating key release plans smoothly from engineering squads up to executive leadership.
- Continuous Improvement Cultivation: Enforce rigid quality standards, build structured decision logs, maintain comprehensive technical project documentation, and champion a culture of extreme personal accountability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8+ years of verified professional history running IT project management, software development program management, or distributed cloud systems delivery.
- Proven commercial track record directing complex software development lifecycles (SDLC) and understanding technical infrastructure details natively.
- Deep hands-on background managing agile development methodologies, including expert-level implementation of Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe frameworks in hybrid environments.
- Strong, practical understanding of modern engineering concepts, primarily including system integrations, cloud infrastructure layers, and technical debt management.
- Possession of at least one internationally recognized professional project management credential, such as PMP, PRINCE2, PSM, SAFe Agilist, or ACP certifications.
- A University degree focused on Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related quantitative field.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication mechanics, with an absolute, fluent command of professional English.
- Location Context: Full-time operational parameters based in Sofia, Bulgaria, offering complete flexibility for local remote work under an unlimited home office configuration.
Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)
- Prior experience handling Lean Portfolio Management or orchestrating technical transformation initiatives at the portfolio level.
- Familiarity navigating cloud-native platforms, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or M365 ecosystems.
- Direct domain history managing custom software implementations or technical products within the global Insurance or fintech markets.
- Familiarity with enterprise resource planning tools, including MS Project or equivalent workflow planning software boards.
What We Offer
- The exceptional professional canvas to manage and scale the custom software systems powering top global enterprises across the UK, Germany, and Silicon Valley.
- A highly flexible corporate environment featuring a permanent employment contract, flexible working hours, and an unlimited home office setup budget.
- Access to structured personalized professional development pathways, fully funding your advanced technical certifications, training courses, and rank progression.
- Comprehensive health and well-being protection frameworks, including premium private health insurance plans, additional dental allowances, and relaxing office massage sessions.
