Planet Technologies, the Nation’s leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, is seeking a Senior Power Platform Developer to join their team. This role involves supporting impactful projects that enhance mission and business data management for the U.S. Department of the Interior.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and enhance Microsoft Power Platform solutions for Department of the Interior programs and operations.
- Build and customize enterprise Model-Driven Apps using Microsoft Dataverse, including tables, relationships, security roles, business rules, forms, views, business process flows, and data-quality controls.
- Develop and maintain secure external-facing experiences using Microsoft Power Pages.
- Create Power BI semantic models, dashboards, reports, and visualizations for executive and operational users.
- Build Power Automate cloud flows for submissions, document routing, notifications, approvals, compliance activities, and other business processes.
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Azure services, REST APIs, and external systems.
- Implement application lifecycle management (ALM), source control, solution packaging, environment variables, connection references, and deployment pipelines.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into maintainable technical solutions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, sprint planning, peer reviews, demonstrations, testing, and release activities.
- Troubleshoot defects, optimize application and report performance, and provide production support.
- Create and maintain solution designs, configuration documentation, technical procedures, release notes, and knowledge-transfer materials.
- Apply federal security, privacy, records-management, accessibility, and governance requirements throughout the solution lifecycle.
- Mentor team members, promote reusable patterns, and contribute to Power Platform standards and development practices.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience delivering Microsoft Power Platform solutions.
- 3+ years building enterprise Model-Driven Apps and designing solutions on Microsoft Dataverse.
- 2+ years developing and supporting Power Pages sites.
- 3+ years creating Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and data visualizations.
- Hands-on experience with Power Automate cloud flows, business process automation, and integration patterns.
- Experience integrating Power Platform applications with REST APIs, Microsoft 365 services, and external systems.
- Experience with solution-aware development, managed solutions, environment strategy, source control, and automated deployments.
- Experience working within Agile delivery teams and communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience supporting a federal customer, public-sector program, or regulated environment.

- Certified ScrumMaster, Professional Scrum Master, Professional Scrum Developer, or SAFe certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting the National Park Service, Department of the Interior, or federal civilian agencies.
- Experience developing compliance, permitting, case-management, grants, contract-management, records-management, or submission-tracking solutions.
- Experience designing secure customer, vendor, or partner portals using Power Pages.
- Knowledge of Power Pages authentication, web roles, table permissions, Liquid, JavaScript, and portal security patterns.
- Experience with complex Dataverse security models, auditing, duplicate detection, data migration, and integration.
- Experience with DAX, Power Query, row-level security, deployment pipelines, and performance optimization in Power BI.
- Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, Application Insights, or related Azure services.
- Experience working in Microsoft federal cloud environments, including GCC, or under FedRAMP-aligned controls.
- Foundational knowledge of Power Apps Code Apps, including pro-code development model, local development workflow, source control, and deployment concepts.
- Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility, federal records-management expectations, and secure software-development practices.
- Experience using C#/.NET for Dataverse plug-ins or custom integration services.
