Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-obsessed, and systems-minded Senior PHP Engineer to join our core centralized Mexico Expansion Team within the Engineering & Product collective, operating in a full-time 100% remote capacity open to premier software craftsmen resident anywhere across Mexico or Europe. In this high-leverage and greenfield development seat, you will step up to claim true individual operational and strategic accountability for architecting and programming the backend infrastructure driving our launch into a brand-new international mobile finance segment. Shifting completely away from routine script maintenance, minor content block adjustments, superficial landing page fixes, or disconnected database entries, you will operate as a principal server-side engineer—collaborating inside a cross-functional, startup-minded squad. This position requires an enterprise tech or fintech systems veteran who designs decoupled service components fluidly natively using Backend optimization frameworks, structures clean database schemas smoothly natively using Symfony framework layers, and commands complex asynchronous transactional pipelines confidently under rigorous launch milestones.

Key Responsibilities

• Greenfield Mobile Product Engineering: Architect, implement, and deploy scalable, production-ready backend features for Lendable new international mobile finance application, writing highly optimized object-oriented code cleanly natively utilizing Backend engineering standards.
• Decoupled Framework Implementation: Drive system development by implementing clean design implementations natively leveraging the latest features of Symfony or Laravel frameworks, enforcing strict baseline coding standards.
• Asynchronous and Event-Driven Architecture: Design and manage distributed, low-latency microservices using Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Message-Driven Systems, Event Sourcing, and CQRS patterns to guarantee fault-tolerant financial ledger data streaming.
• Rigorous API Contract Negotiation: Collaborate hand-in-hand with frontend software engineers to guide, align, and agree upon explicit RESTful API behaviors and request-response expectations through well-documented, versioned interface contracts.
• Cross-Functional MVP Definition: Partner closely with distributed Product Managers and expansion stakeholders to map out and isolate minimal viable product (MVP) requirements, translating business vision into highly actionable code blocks.
• Robust Automated Quality Assurance: Author and expand comprehensive automated testing suites—explicitly managing multi-tier Unit, Integration, and Functional verification profiles via PHPUnit and Behat to secure uncompromised engine reliability.
