Senior People Partner

Roadie, a UPS company, is a leading logistics and delivery platform that helps businesses tackle the complexities of modern retail with unmatched delivery coverage, flexibility, and visibility.

We’re looking for a Senior People Partner to be a genuine strategic partner to managers and leaders across Roadie, and the primary owner of employee relations. You’ll work closely with our VP, People Operations, partnering with leaders and teams across every function at Roadie, understanding what each one needs and adjusting your approach accordingly. This role sits on a lean, fast-moving team, which means everyone wears a few hats. You’ll own meaningful work end to end and see the impact of it directly, balancing big picture thinking with hands-on execution.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as a trusted thought partner to leaders, helping shape and execute people strategies that improve execution, organizational effectiveness, and support how Roadie grows
• Own employee relations end to end, from everyday inquiries and accommodations, to investigations and performance matters, always handling sensitive workplace matters with care
• Proactively coach and serve as an advisor to people managers on performance, team effectiveness, development, and organizational change
• Keep us compliant on wage and hour, leave, accommodations, and documentation, so we get it right the first time
• Play a key role in talent management, owning performance cycles, calibration, and guiding career conversations
• Strengthen our job architecture, partnering with leaders on career frameworks that scale with us and support the growth of our team members
• Leverage people data and insights to identify trends, inform recommendations, and influence decisions
• Play a hands-on role in engagement, culture, and development initiatives, always looking for ways to make our people programs more scalable as we grow
• Support with operations responsibilities including onboarding, benefits admin, and systems, partnering closely with the People Operations team to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly

What You Bring

• 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including meaningful time as an HR/People Partner in a fast-growing tech or startup/scaleup environment
• Bachelor’s degree; concentration in Industrial Organizational Psychology or SPHR certified, a plus
• Demonstrated experience and ownership of employee relations, investigations, and performance management, not just a supporting role
• A strong operator and advisor who’s comfortable in ambiguity, can challenge thinking, and translates business needs into practical solutions
• Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• A track record coaching and influencing managers, including first-time leaders
• Thorough knowledge of HR principles, compliance, and leave & accommodation law (FMLA, ADA interactive process, state paid family leave)
• Exposure to job architecture, leveling, or compensation frameworks, or real interest in building that out
• Excellent judgment and discretion: you know when to loop others in and when to just handle it, always handle sensitive information with care
• Resourceful self-starter with a “roll up your sleeves” mentality
