About the Role: Wealthsimple is Canada’s largest fintech, and as we scale, our Controllers function—spanning Accounting, Tax, Procurement, and AP—needs a bridge between Finance needs and Engineering/IT capabilities. As a Senior Manager, Finance Systems & Program Delivery, you will be a "maker-owner," driving the finance systems roadmap and delivering evidence-based programs from diagnosis through go-live.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain a risk-rated, 18-month rolling roadmap for Finance systems, sequenced by strategic priority and control impact.
  • Diagnose operational debt and design scalable workflows with embedded controls and automation.
  • Translate Finance requirements into structured, well-scoped requests for Engineering and IT teams.
  • Advocate for and secure engineering capacity, building business cases grounded in data (manual effort, audit risk, headcount cost).
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of programs, including requirements gathering, UAT, and change management.
  • Act as the primary Finance owner for systems like NetSuite, Workiva, FloQast, and AuditBoard.
  • Identify automation and AI use cases to improve Finance workflows and scale operations.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years in Finance systems, Finance operations, or program delivery, ideally in a fintech or high-growth environment.
  • Deep Finance domain knowledge: understanding how AP, month-end close, tax, and reporting processes ripple across controls.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise Finance systems (NetSuite, Workiva, FloQast, etc.).
  • Ability to build cases that leadership can stress-test and a bias for recommending solutions rather than status updates.
  • Excellent executive communication: translating operational detail into ROI, strategy, and trade-offs.
  • Bonus: Professional designation such as CPA or PMP.

Benefits

  • Base salary range: CA$152,000 – CA$190,000 + Equity.
  • Top-tier health benefits and life insurance.
  • Long-term group savings program with employer match.
  • Flexible vacation policy (20 days) + 4 wellness days + unlimited sick/mental health days.
  • "90 days away" policy (work from outside Canada for up to 90 days/year).
  • Hybrid team environment with over 1,500 employees across North America.
