Job Description
About the Role: As Marqeta's Senior Manager, Bank Partnerships, you will manage and enhance relationships with existing issuing bank partners and develop new relationships. The Partner Operations team is a key division within Marqeta's broader Go-To-Market Organization. This leadership role will serve as the primary contact for our bank partners, helping to drive incremental program growth and playing a key role in managing some of Marqeta's largest and most strategic account relationships.
What You'll Do
- Act as the primary liaison between Marqeta and existing bank issuing partners, fostering strong, collaborative relationships.
- Lead the negotiation and management of contracts to ensure favorable terms, minimize risk, and optimize financial outcomes.
- Collaborate with bank partners and internal product development teams to launch new products and features.
- Oversee day-to-day operational responsibilities like invoice validation, audit coordination, and tracking KPIs.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to make sure programs are fully compliant with bank requirements.
What You Bring
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in financial services, partnership management, or business development.
- Proven experience in leading and managing strategic partnerships at a senior level, with extensive negotiation expertise.
- Strong knowledge of Visa and MasterCard rules.
- A strategic thinker with a data-driven approach, capable of developing and executing complex, long-term strategies.
- Bonus: Direct FinTech experience or experience managing bank-sponsored card products for program managers.
