The Role
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Full Stack Engineer - Team Lead to join our high-performing, fully remote engineering team. This role blends technical leadership and direct people management: you will lead a small team across multiple domains (API development, CRM systems, data ingestion) while remaining actively hands-on in code development, architecture design, and sprint rituals.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Delivery: Lead a small team of engineers across multiple initiatives, driving agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog refinement) and tracking progress via Jira/Confluence.
- Hands-on Development: Write production-grade code across the frontend (React, TypeScript) and backend (Node.js, SQL, GraphQL, REST) stacks.
- API & Data Engineering: Design and scale secure internal/external GraphQL/REST APIs and build robust, scalable data ingestion workflows and ETL processing pipelines.
- Engineering Excellence: Champion code quality, monorepo development patterns, testing best practices, cloud architecture documentation, and velocity tracking using AI-assisted tools (e.g., Claude Code).
- Talent Mentorship: Elevate the technical bar through code reviews, technical architecture guidance, and structured career development conversations.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience building production-grade enterprise applications.
- Strong expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern frontend web workflows.
- Deep experience designing, scaling, and optimizing production APIs (GraphQL and REST).
- Solid backend foundations utilizing Node.js and relational database modeling (PostgreSQL preferred).
- Familiarity with modern monorepo configurations (e.g., Nx, Turborepo, Yarn Workspaces).
- Experience building, integrating, and supporting application-level data processing or ETL pipelines.
- Familiarity with containerization, automated testing structures, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure (AWS).
- Strong communication skills with experience in fast-paced startup or scaling environments.
- Nice to Have: Prior experience in healthcare, life sciences, or regulated data spaces.
Benefits & Perks
- Competitive base compensation with 401(k) matching.
- 100% company-paid premiums for Employee Medical, Vision, and Dental plans + $4,400 HSA contribution.
- 100% paid Parental Leave + a $5,000 stipend and a 4-week "Ease-Back" return-to-work program.
- Flexible PTO and short/long-term disability protection.
- 100% remote "Work from Anywhere" philosophy within the United States.
