About Capnexus: Capnexus is a premier, comprehensive technology services provider and build-as-a-service innovator specialized in designing, engineering, and deploying elite retail and industrial software models. Driven by a repeatable business pattern engineered to cross-cut diverse verticals, Capnexus supports enterprise clients with an exhaustive suite of software development, systems analysis, cloud-native integrations, and long-term lifecycle support. Our culture is deeply anchored around four core keystones—Customer Obsession, Lifelong Learning, Simple/Scalable Engineering, and Strategic Execution—fostering high-agency teams that treat every line of code as a building block for trust.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical, systems-minded Senior Full Stack Developer to lead the architectural design, development, and delivery of a cloud-native software platform tailored for the commercial construction sector. In this hands-on engineering seat, you will act as the core technical anchor constructing an intelligent subcontractor pre-qualification platform from the ground up. Leveraging a modern frontend interface backed by a scalable, event-driven AWS serverless architecture, you will lead the integration of next-generation generative AI solutions. Your solutions will transform slow, error-prone manual document audits into automated, machine-learning-validated processing loops.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud-Native Architecture Design: Build and govern the underlying software architecture, schema models, and interactive client workflows during the discovery and foundational mapping phases.
- Secure Document Ingestion Portals: Code and deploy an enterprise-grade file storage and verification portal enabling construction vendors to securely submit insurance documents, bonding logs, and tax statements.
- Serverless API Engineering: Formulate and support highly resilient RESTful and microservice endpoints leveraging AWS Lambda and Amazon API Gateway to ensure frictionless frontend/backend integrations.
- Generative AI Workflow Integration: Program cognitive document tracking, exception routing, and compliance audits driven directly by foundational LLM orchestration inside Amazon Bedrock.
- Frontend App Hosting: Program, package, and deploy responsive single-page user interfaces using **AWS Amplify and Amazon S3 buckets**.
- CI/CD & Automated Testing: Configure deployment loops, automated code validation lines, and zero-downtime release pipelines via AWS CodePipeline or CodeBuild.
- Cross-Functional Systems Alignment: Partner tightly alongside specialized internal AI/ML researchers, cloud infrastructure Devops architects, and big data engineering teams to eliminate delivery friction.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of verified professional history running full-stack software development pipelines, with at least 3+ years operating natively inside an **AWS Cloud infrastructure**.
- Deep programmatic mastery using modern frontend architectures (**React, Angular, or Vue**) paired with robust backend services authored in Python, Node.js, or TypeScript.
- Hands-on operational knowledge assembling event-driven serverless architectures using Lambda micro-runtimes, API Gateways, S3 buckets, and Amplify environments.
- Strong conceptual command over RESTful API designs, relational/non-relational data modeling, and cloud-native integration paradigms.
- Excellent communication and scrum collaboration mechanics, optimized to unpack abstract technical blocks inside high-velocity Agile sprints.
- Location Context: 100% remote-first full-time contract framework open to qualified software engineers operating worldwide.
Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)
- Prior experience building features hooked into Amazon Bedrock, Kiro CLI, or other advanced AWS machine learning APIs.
- Possession of verified cloud credentials, specifically the **AWS Certified Developer – Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect** designation.
- Background operating within technology consulting agencies, specialized IT professional services, or fast-growing enterprise software settings.
What We Offer
- The exceptional engineering canvas to build, design, and deploy cutting-edge generative AI workflow engines for an international cloud innovator.
- Highly competitive contract compensation structures matched securely against your framework depth and cloud architecture runtime knowledge.
- Stable full-time contractor parameters providing profound work-from-home scheduling flexibility and high operational execution autonomy.
- A progressive engineering collective that rejects over-architected, superficial code in favor of elegant, simple, and scalable engineering systems.
