The new Forward Deployed Engineering Team within the Data and Insights Organization in WMG Global Tech focuses on solving diverse business problems using automation, data, and AI. This role partners with Product Solutions and key stakeholders across Warner Music Group to rapidly build and deploy solutions.

We are seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to join our organization. As an FDE, you will work directly with our most important business stakeholders across labels and global functions to deliver rapid solutions leveraging data and AI. Strong candidates thrive when partnering with non-technical customers, have great product instincts, empathy, and can intersect AI solutions with their pain points to turn painful tasks that take weeks into workflows that take minutes.

This role entails full-stack solution engineering, including data pipelining and interoperability, backend development in Python, dashboard and Streamlit app development, and leveraging Databricks and Snowflake AI tools such as Genie and Cortex to create solutions in hours that used to take days.

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver Impactful Solutions for Diverse Stakeholders: Proven capability to step into different problem spaces and work with diverse people to turn work that takes weeks into minutes.

  • Full-Stack Engineering: Ability to flex across backend, frontend, data pipelines, AI tools, Python, and React. When you aren’t a pro at something, you can use AI effectively to deliver and ensure engineering excellence.

  • AI Solutions Delivery: Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to design, build, and deploy production solutions to accelerate non-technical stakeholders.

  • Product Sense and Impact: Ability to rapidly understand and develop a solution without curated requirements. Step into a problem space with little context, rapidly understand what needs to be done, and deliver impact.

  • Empathy and Customer Communication: Strong ability to communicate in non-technical language to stakeholders from entry to executive level. Manage expectations and keep customers updated.

  • AI Solutions Engineering: Familiarity with AI tools such as Gemini, Cortex Code, and Genie Code, and the ability to use them to turn solution delivery from weeks into hours.

  • Be Curious and Adaptable: Eager to explore new technologies and comfortable flexing across various problems and domains. Manage dozens of different problems for different stakeholders simultaneously.

  • Stay Aligned: Proven ability to contribute to standards and leverage existing tools and systems to ensure FDE solutions align with the Data and Insights engineering roadmap.

  • Architecture Standards & Playbooks: Demonstrated expertise in establishing system frameworks like the Agent Development Kit (ADK), authoring operational playbooks, and drafting technical guidelines.

  • Reusable Assets Contribution: Strong background in modular architectures, ensuring custom-built implementations are published as reusable internal marketplace assets instead of isolated components.

Who you are:

  • Experienced, Scrappy, and Creative: At least 6 years of software engineering experience. Exposure to customers, experience with Python, data pipelining (e.g., ETL), and either Snowflake and/or Databricks. Ideally, you’ve used Genie Code, Cortex Code, Notebooks, and Streamlit to deliver solutions.

  • Biased to Action and Impact: Strong focus on the customer with a bias to action to deliver value quickly. Deeply motivated to fix pain points and transform manual, scrappy workflows into seamless AI-driven processes.

  • Lifelong Learner: Passion for learning and valuing daily growth and feedback.

  • Mission-Driven: Music fan motivated by the fact that your work directly impacts an artist’s ability to grow their career and get paid.

Warner Music Group (operating under wmg.com, legally Warner Music Group Corp.) is the premier, enterprise-grade global music entertainment conglomerate, recorded music and publishing pioneer, and media distribution powerhouse engineered to operate as the definitive, high-velocity creative cultivation, intellectual property monetization, and multi-platform content streaming layer for iconic recording artists and songwriters worldwide. Originally founded in 1958 as Warner Bros. Records to capture high-margin soundtrack assets for the legendary film studio, the multinational media force completely eliminates the severe systemic friction of modern entertainment operations—where independent creators and catalog estates face fractured cross-border licensing rails, complex digital rights management overhead, and low streaming visibility across fragmented global audio platforms—by deploying a sophisticated, technology-powered music, media, and tech ecosystem. Moving far beyond traditional, passive physical label structures, WMG natively unifies iconic major labels (including Atlantic Records, Warner Records, Elektra Entertainment, and Parlophone), an elite independent artist services arm (ADA), a global production music infrastructure, and the world third-largest music publishing network (Warner Chappell Music) into a single high-availability media enterprise. Commanded by Chief Executive Officer Robert Kyncl, the corporation operates as a public-market titan (NASDAQ: WMG) processing over $6 billion in annual digital and physical revenues while steering partnerships in generative AI protections and user-generated audio optimization. Under the hood, its technology framework utilizes advanced behavioral audience analytics, localized automated royalty distribution models, secure asset-vault tracking, and algorithmic marketing infrastructure built to manage a massive global catalog spanning millions of compositions with absolute performance precision. What sets Warner Music Group apart is its uncompromising dedication to replacing legacy, paper-driven industry structures with absolute data-driven operational predictability, tech-centric artist empowerment, and dynamic brand synchronization; by bridging the gap between performance-intensive structural streaming tech and the deeply creative, cultural impact of commercial music, the enterprise remains the definitive cornerstone of modern algorithmic media operations and global entertainment marketplace transformation.
