Senior Editorial Manager

About the Role: Loot Labs (Boxed.gg) is on a mission to make collecting fun by blending digital entertainment with tangible rewards. We are standing up a brand-new editorial function and looking for an Editor-in-Chief to lead it across all owned channels—long-form, video, social, and community. Your mission is to build entertaining, engaging content that drives organic search and pulls our community back to BOXED.GG.

Key Responsibilities

• Editorial Leadership: Own the editorial vision, voice, and cadence across blog, video, social media, and community channels.
• SEO & Organic Growth: Develop an SEO-forward content strategy that grows search rankings and turns the blog into an acquisition engine.
• YouTube & Video: Own the BOXED YouTube channel strategy end-to-end (concepts, formats, talent, production schedules).
• Social & Community Strategy: Oversee content across X, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, while managing the Social & Community Manager.
• Team Management: Build and manage a roster of freelance writers, editors, and on-camera personalities to scale output.
• Measurement & Reporting: Tie content metrics (watch time, SEO rankings) to commercial outcomes (site traffic, user retention, revenue).

What You Bring

• 7+ years in content marketing, editorial, or journalism with a proven track record of scaling content programs.
• Prior Editor-in-Chief or Managing Editor level experience running a brand blog and/or YouTube channel at scale.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with a deep working knowledge of SEO best practices (Ahrefs, SEMrush, GA4).
• Proven people management experience, capable of developing talent and holding contributors to high standards.
• Genuine enthusiasm for trading card games, sports cards, collectibles, or gaming is strongly preferred.
