Your Role:
As a Senior Design Manager, you will play a key role on the creative team to help define and elevate the company’s brand across all internal and external touchpoints. In this role, you will lead the visual design of high-impact creative projects, ranging from marketing campaigns and events to executive communications and brand system development. You will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex cybersecurity concepts into clear, compelling, and visually engaging creative work that supports strategic business goals. Crucially, this position requires a strong duality of skills: handling day-to-day general design responsibilities while bringing work to life through animation.
Your Opportunity:
- Lead the end-to-end design process for key creative initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across Marketing, Product Marketing, Events, and Communications to deliver visually compelling and strategically aligned solutions.
- Create a diverse range of design outputs, including static and digital ads, event branding, presentation design, motion graphics, and infographics.
- Contribute to the development, documentation, and evolution of the brand system, including guidelines and templates.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to other designers to help maintain a high standard of craft and creative quality.
- Present creative work to stakeholders, clearly articulate design rationale, and advocate for design best practices.
- You will be a critical hire on a small, three-person team responsible for all design and communications coming out of Tenable.
What You’ll Need:
- 8+ years of professional design experience.
- Expertise in design tools such as Figma and the full Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with tools that are used for animation.
- Must have the ability to commute to our Columbia, MD or Boston, MA office three days a week (hybrid).
- A strong portfolio showcasing brand identity, campaign work, and multi-channel design projects.
- Excellent visual design skills with a strong grasp of typography, layout, hierarchy, and composition.
- An amazing attitude and a dedication to producing very high-quality work.
- An agency background, preferably starting as a junior designer within a design studio and working your way up into a more senior position.
- Experience working within and contributing to brand or design systems.
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to explain design decisions and incorporate feedback effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach to creative challenges.
And Ideally:
- Experience working within a B2B tech company or a creative agency serving enterprise clients.
- A background in cybersecurity.
- Experience with AI-related tools.

Tenable
View Company ProfileTenable (operating under tenable.com) is the premier, enterprise-grade cyber exposure management pioneer, vulnerability risk analytics innovator, and digital infrastructure resilience powerhouse engineered to operate as the definitive, high-velocity threat assessment, attack surface mapping, and proactive risk remediation layer for global corporate enterprises, critical infrastructure providers, and government agencies. The company completely eliminates the severe systemic friction of modern corporate asset defense—where distributed IT environments battle fragmented security logging, unprioritized vulnerability scanning data, blind spots across multi-cloud footprints, and delayed incident reaction pipelines—by deploying an advanced, risk-based operational visibility ecosystem. Moving far beyond traditional, passive signature-based defenses or disjointed network auditing checkers, Tenable natively unifies continuous hybrid cloud configuration auditing, operational technology (OT) structural monitoring, active directory identity path validation, and its legendary core vulnerability scanning infrastructure (anchored by Nessus, the world's most widely deployed vulnerability evaluation standard) into its unified flagship offering, the Tenable One Exposure Management Platform. Supporting more than 44,000 customers globally—including over 65 percent of the Fortune 500 and large-scale public sector networks—the system processes multi-tenant digital telemetry to identify, contextually score, and auto-prioritize exposure risks before exploitations occur with production-hardened engineering precision. Under the hood, its sophisticated technical core—publicly traded on the NASDAQ (TENB)—orchestrates high-concurrency event parsing, risk-based predictive analytics, and secure integration loops across complex cloud pipelines, DevOps architectures, and IT systems of record. What sets Tenable apart is its uncompromising dedication to replacing standard, disjointed point-in-time assessments with absolute asset clarity and preventative threat momentum; by bridging the gap between performance-intensive big data infrastructure profiling and instant, risk-informed remediation workflows, the enterprise remains the definitive cornerstone of modern algorithmic exposure management and corporate asset scaling.
