About Armada: Armada is the hyper-scale provider for edge computing environments, delivering modular AI infrastructure from first deployment to full-scale AI factories with speed, scale, and data sovereignty. Selected as one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies and named to the CNBC Disruptor 50, Armada’s turnkey hardware and software solutions are actively deployed in over 60 countries for organizations spanning energy, utilities, logistics, and national defense. Backed by nearly half a billion dollars from tier-one technology funds—including Microsoft (M12), Founders Fund, and BlackRock—and collaborating close-knit with NVIDIA, Palantir, and Dell Technologies, Armada is seeking brilliant minds to help bridge the global digital divide.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly autonomous, systems-fluent, and development-capable Senior Customer Engineer, Edge APAC to serve as our premier pre-sales architect under a permanent, full-time remote configuration based in Singapore. In this high-leverage technical sales-enablement seat, you will act as the principal link bridging complex computing hardware limitations with customer-centric business objectives. Shifting completely away from non-regulated administrative data entry loops, entry-level styling fixes, or simple helpdesk support ticketing, you will operate an active high-concurrency micro data center design, distributed edge telemetry, and bare-metal container orchestration laboratory. Partnering directly next to field Sales Directors, Channel partners, and Core Engineering divisions, you will own technical scoping, deliver polished product demonstrations, and structure production-ready proof-of-concept (PoC) frameworks. This position requires an engineering authority with 5+ years of pre-sales architecture experience who manages infrastructure topologies fluidly natively using Electrical Engineering, DevOps, and AI Engineer primitives, commands complete operational familiarity with hybrid compute architectures, and travels regularly to lock in strategic APAC accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Edge Infrastructure Solutions Governance: Design, integrate, and scale robust compute, storage, and networking layers within modular data centers and rack environments natively utilizing Electrical Engineering and systems integration best practices.
- Pre-Sales Pre-Validation & Scoping: Lead high-visibility technical scoping loops, custom workshops, and advanced product evaluations to demonstrate the measurable business value of Armada’s edge applications.
- Distributed Container Engineering Control: Set up, deploy, and monitor scalable customer simulation workloads inside distributed environments natively leveraging DevOps tools like VMware, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Hybrid Network Architecture Tuning: Consult clients on complex networking and connectivity primitives, translating variables across IP addressing, enterprise firewalls, SD-WAN structures, and satellite or cellular communication arrays (such as Starlink or 5G networks).
- Edge AI Integration Triage: Architect input streams (cameras, IoT telemetry sensors, and edge assets) to estimate data quality parameters and compute requirements natively deploying AI Engineer concepts and model runtimes (TensorFlow, PyTorch, ONNX).
- Strategic Client Advisory Alignment: Cultivate multi-threaded trust relationships with technical decision-makers and C-suite champions, operating as an authoritative advisor regarding decentralized cloud strategies (e.g., Azure Stack Edge).
- Commercial Pipeline Enablement: Apply structured enterprise sales methodologies (such as MEDDPICC or the Challenger Sale) to qualify deals, craft technical proposals, and empower sales reps in client rooms.
- Logistics & Supply Chain Sourcing: Collaborate with international units to coordinate the deployment of physical modular components, navigating regional import/export restrictions and customs guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Possess a formal Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a matching highly quantitative technical discipline (an advanced Master’s degree is a plus).
- A minimum of 5+ years of proven, successful professional technology experience operating as a Solutions Engineer, Customer Engineer, Sales Architect, Forward Deployed Developer, or closely matching tech-driven pre-sales capacity.
- Expert Edge Stack Command: Meticulous practical experience architecting bare-metal systems integration, distributed database nodes, network routing layers, and micro-data center layout topologies.
- Complete operational literacy designing and managing virtualization configurations or multi-tenant software containers natively leveraging Docker, Kubernetes, or VMware.
- Outstanding written, verbal, and textual presentation communication strengths in English, with an established background delivering scannable architectural briefs to both technical operators and business executives.
- Travel Context: Absolute willingness and readiness to engage in routine regional and potential international travel as required to win business and secure client relationships in the room.
- Location Context: Position operates under remote guidelines open exclusively to qualified technical sales and edge-computing engineering authorities residing permanently within Singapore.
Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)
- Prior platform or enterprise architecture history deploying ruggedized infrastructure systems explicitly within the Managed Service Provider (MSP), Telecom, Oil & Gas, Defense, or Utilities industries.
- Direct hands-on experience structuring deal metrics natively using value-driven sales blueprints like MEDDPICC, Challenger Sale, or Command of the Message.
- An adaptable, self-starting persona characterized by an entrepreneurial drive, high intellectual curiosity, and a focus on collective team success over individual ego priorities.
What We Offer
- Top-Tier Singapore Edge Computing Leadership Remuneration: A highly competitive annual salary structure calibrated precisely to your hardware integration pedigree and pre-sales velocity, backed by stable tier-one venture capital and equity opportunities.
- 100% remote workspace infrastructure autonomy open within Singapore, eliminating physical office traffic commute blocks.
- Front-Row Decentralized AI Factory Footprint: Elite career landmarks achieved by single-handedly blueprinting the modular data center architectures and edge computing pipelines that bridge the digital divide across the APAC region.
- Comprehensive health, medical, and wellness preservation configurations optimized cleanly to Singapore’s local standards.
- Access to a legendary, high-ownership corporate culture that encourages absolute autonomy, provides state-of-the-art technical asset provisions, and fosters a collaborative space designed to let brilliant minds build transformative systems from the ground up.
