Greenlight is the leading family fintech company on a mission to help parents raise financially smart kids. We proudly serve more than 6 million parents and kids with our award-winning banking app for families. With Greenlight, parents can automate allowance, manage chores, set flexible spend controls, and invest for their family’s future. Kids and teens learn to earn, save, spend wisely, and invest.

At Greenlight, we believe every child should have the opportunity to become financially healthy and happy. It’s no small task, and that’s why we leap out of bed every morning to come to work. Because creating a better, brighter future for the next generation depends on it.

Greenlight is looking for a Senior Creative Strategist to lead the thinking behind our creative. This person will own the strategic point of view that shapes every brief, turning internal data and cultural signal into a clear creative direction our editors and creators can run with. You'll be the person in the room asking "why this, why now, why does it matter to our audience".

This is a strategy focused role. We need someone who can look at performance data, platform trends, and audience behavior, and translate that into sharp, actionable briefs.

Your day-to-day:

  • Write creative briefs autonomously, grounding every recommendation in internal performance data and emerging online/cultural trends
  • Develop a clear strategic rationale for each brief: what we're making, who it's for, why it will work, and how we'll know
  • Accurately assess and analyze performance data (content, campaign, and platform level) to identify what's working, what's not, and why
  • Translate analysis into forward looking recommendations
  • Partner closely with editors to prioritize and champion strong visual strategy, giving clear feedback rooted in strategic intent
  • Help ensure the "why" behind a creative choice is understood, not just the "what"
  • Identify and help source content from creators, evaluating fit against brand and campaign strategy
  • Work directly with creators to ensure output aligns with the brief and Greenlight's voice
  • Partner with the internal brand team on asset exchange and alignment, ensuring creative stays consistent with broader brand strategy
  • Act as a strategic connective tissue between data, brand, editorial, and creator relationships

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • 5+ years of experience in creative strategy, content strategy, or a related role, ideally with exposure to both data analysis and creative production
  • A track record of writing briefs that lead to creative work, not just documentation of requests
  • Strong analytical skills; comfortable in data/analytics tools and confident drawing conclusions from them
  • A sharp eye for visual strategy and the ability to give editors direction that improves the work
  • Experience sourcing or managing creator relationships/content
  • Excellent collaborator able to work across brand, editorial, and creative teams and keep everyone aligned to the same strategy
  • Strong written communication; briefs need to be clear, persuasive, and easy to act on
  • Self starter who can work autonomously and drive briefs from insight to output with minimal oversight

Nice to have:

  • Experience in fintech, family finance, or consumer subscription products
  • Familiarity with short form/social content trends and platform specific creative strategy
  • Experience working with creator/influencer networks at scale

Work perks at Greenlight:

  • Medical, dental, vision, and HSA match
  • Paid life insurance, AD&D, and disability benefits
  • Traditional 401k with company match
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Paid company holidays and pop-up bonus holidays
  • Professional development stipends
  • Mental health resources
  • 1:1 financial planners
  • Fertility healthcare
  • 100% paid parental and caregiving leave, plus cleaning service and meals during your leave
  • Flexible WFH, both remote and in-office opportunities
  • Fully stocked kitchen, catered lunches, and occasional in-office happy hours
  • Employee resource groups

Greenlight provides a competitive compensation package with a market-based approach to pay and will vary depending on your location, experience and skill set. The total compensation package for this position will also include a discretionary performance bonus, equity rewards, medical benefits, 401K match, and more. Greenlight conducts continuous compensation evaluations across departments and geographies to ensure we are keeping our pay current and competitive.

Greenlight (operating under greenlight.com, legally Greenlight Financial Technology, Inc.) is a leading financial technology enterprise, pioneering digital banking ecosystem, and family safety platform engineered to democratize comprehensive financial literacy for children, teens, and young adults. Founded in 2014 by veteran technology entrepreneurs Tim Sheehan and Johnson Cook, the platform dismantled traditional retail banking friction—where minors lacked accessible digital payment methods and parents possessed no granular visibility into real-world youth expenditures—by deploying a secure, parental-controlled debit card and mobile banking application. Moving far beyond basic prepaid cards, Greenlight's sophisticated multi-tier SaaS model natively unifies automated allowance distributions, localized merchant spending guardrails, dynamic chore trackers, gamified financial education (Greenlight Level Up), and an app-based micro-investing platform tailored for beginners. To expand its addressable market across generational lines, the corporation continuously scale its utility by integrating advanced family safety suites—including real-time location tracking, SOS crash detection, and "Family Shield" senior scam and fraud monitoring protections. The company commands an exceptional, high-velocity distribution architecture through a robust B2B2C embedded finance strategy, partnering with over 150 top-tier financial institutions, credit unions, and enterprise employers—including marquee alliances with JPMorgan Chase and U.S. Bank—to embed its specialized youth banking stack into existing institutional infrastructure. Backed by $556 million in total institutional funding, culminating in a historic $260 million Series D financing round led by venture powerhouse Andreessen Horowitz alongside major investors like TTV Capital and Canapi Ventures, the fintech leader operates at a peak valuation exceeding $2.3 billion. Serving more than 6.5 million parents and children who have managed billions in transactional volume, the firm continues to grow via comprehensive cash-back offerings like the Greenlight Family Cash Card. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, Greenlight stands as the definitive vanguard of modern family financial technology—replacing legacy financial exclusion with programmatic money management, automated parent-child oversight loops, and generational economic enablement.
