Senior Content Lead

Twist Bioscience is seeking a Senior Content Lead to strategically and creatively shape the company’s brand voice and content across all platforms. This is a partner-level role focused on brand voice, content strategy, content marketing, evergreen content, and integrated 360° campaigns—not just writing blog posts.

You’ll collaborate with marketing, brand, product, and sales teams to ensure every piece of content—from landing page headlines to trade show campaigns to technical white papers—reflects a cohesive brand identity and drives commercial success.

The ideal candidate has experience working in both agency and in-house environments, understanding how to balance speed, creativity, and long-term strategy. Life sciences, biotech, or pharma experience is essential, with the ability to translate complex scientific concepts into compelling, accurate, and engaging content.

What You’ll Own:

• Brand voice and content strategy: Define and refine brand voice, tone, and messaging frameworks, ensuring they’re practical and actionable.
• Content marketing: Set strategic direction and quality standards for content across all channels, partnering with writers, designers, and marketers to execute.
• Evergreen content: Build and maintain core content assets that represent Twist Bioscience’s identity and remain relevant beyond campaign cycles.
• Funnel content: Architect content tailored to each stage of the customer journey—awareness, consideration, and conversion.
• 360° campaigns: Lead integrated campaigns spanning digital, events, sales enablement, PR, and social media, ensuring cohesive creative and copy.
• Cross-functional partnership: Serve as the go-to expert for product marketing, brand, design, and sales on all language-related matters, including naming, positioning, and messaging.
• Team and process leadership: Establish standards, provide constructive feedback, and build scalable systems (style guides, briefs, review processes) for a growing content team.

What You Bring:

• 10+ years of experience in content strategy, content marketing, and brand/copywriting, with significant leadership experience.
• Career spanning both agency and in-house roles, with expertise in adapting to each environment’s demands.
• Direct experience in life sciences, biotech, or pharma, with a proven ability to simplify complex technical content.
• A strong perspective on brand voice, demonstrated through a portfolio showcasing range—from headlines to full campaigns.
• Proven track record of developing and executing full-funnel content strategies, not just individual assets.
• Experience leading integrated 360° campaigns and collaborating with creative, design, and media teams.
• Excellent editorial judgment and the confidence to challenge stakeholders—even senior ones—when content isn’t effective.
• Ability to operate both strategically (frameworks, roadmaps) and tactically (writing, editing) as needed.

Nice to Have:

• Experience writing for regulated or scientifically rigorous industries where accuracy and compliance are critical.
• Background in managing or mentoring content teams (writers, editors, strategists).
• Familiarity with SEO, content performance metrics, and data-driven content decisions.
