Senior COBOL Developer

About the Role: At Kapres Technology, we are looking for a Senior COBOL Developer to join a multinational client that is a leader in the logistics sector. You will need an open mind, a self-starter attitude, and the ability to dig deeply into complex codebases for answers.

What You'll Do

• Dig into legacy and modified codebases to troubleshoot, maintain, and develop solutions.
• Collaborate globally, ensuring overlap with US Eastern and Manila, PH time zones for team meetings and reviews.
• Utilize JIRA and GitLab (or equivalent tools) for project tracking, issue management, and version control.
• Work autonomously to deliver high-quality backend logistics solutions.

What You Bring

• 10+ years of COBOL development experience (Microfocus is preferable).
• Pro*C & Oracle DB experience.
• Linux/UNIX O/S environment experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: IMFirst experience (Ingram Micro developed code - heavily modified) is considered a huge plus.
