Senior Cloud Engineer

About the Role: 540 is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to lead the migration of mission-critical applications into Google Cloud in support of an Army program. You will operate as a hands-on technical lead and individual contributor, working across engineering teams, Army stakeholders, and Google partners to design and execute cloud migration strategies.

What You'll Do

• Lead the migration of a full-stack, AI-enabled application into Google Cloud Platform (GCP) within a cArmy environment.
• Operate as the primary cloud SME, driving architecture, design, and implementation decisions.
• Establish best practices for cloud architecture, security, and deployment in a regulated environment.
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment workflows.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship as the team grows, laying the foundation for future migrations.

What You Bring

• 8+ years of experience in a DevSecOps, Cloud, or related engineering role.
• Strong, hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) architecture, services, and deployment.
• U.S. Citizenship with an active DoW Secret clearance (per client requirements).
• CompTIA Security+ certification and Google Cloud certification (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect).
• Bonus: Experience with cArmy environments, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and migrating AI/ML-enabled systems.
