Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will transform complex business and market data into actionable insights that support sales strategy, commercial decision-making, performance management, and operational efficiency. You will work closely with sales, commercial, category, finance, and leadership teams to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and improve business performance through data-driven recommendations.
- Leverage the NielsenIQ Discover Platform to extract, analyze, and interpret market, category, brand, product, and competitive intelligence.
- Develop comprehensive sales and commercial analytics to evaluate revenue, sales performance, market share, distribution, pricing, promotions, and category trends.
- Build and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for business stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Write and optimize complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and analytical expressions to support advanced business reporting.
- Translate business requirements into scalable reporting solutions, analytical models, and actionable insights.
- Analyze sales performance across products, categories, regions, channels, customers, and time periods to identify growth opportunities and performance gaps.
- Partner with commercial and sales teams to understand business challenges and provide data-backed recommendations.
- Conduct variance, trend, performance, and root-cause analysis to explain changes in key business metrics.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and integrity across reporting and analytics processes.
- Develop standardized KPIs, metrics, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to improve business visibility.
- Automate recurring reports and operational analytics wherever possible to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data processes, reporting workflows, and analytical capabilities.
- Present complex analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Must-Have Skills
- 4β6 years of experience in business analytics, data analytics, commercial analytics, sales operations, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience with the NielsenIQ Discover Platform and market intelligence data.
- Proven expertise in Sales & Commercial Analytics, including sales performance, market trends, category analysis, pricing, distribution, and competitive analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including dashboard development, data modeling, visualization, and reporting.
- Strong command of DAX for developing complex measures and business calculations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to translate business questions into analytical frameworks and actionable insights.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience working with FMCG, retail, consumer goods, or market research data.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with Power Query, Excel, or other data transformation tools.
- Understanding of ETL/data preparation processes and data quality management.
- Familiarity with commercial KPIs, revenue management, category management, and business performance frameworks.
- Experience automating recurring reporting and operational processes.
