Senior Backend Engineer, NIRA

About the Role: Tilt is creating a new credit system using machine learning-powered credit models. NIRA, backed by Tilt, is building a consumer credit platform for Middle India. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will shape the infrastructure strategy, scale the platform, and improve credit decision systems with a direct and outsized impact on technical projects.

What You'll Do

• Work closely with the local NIRA Engineering team and APAC team to increase platform scalability.
• Expand the platform to support multiple financial products and underlying instruments.
• Drive iterations on credit policy and improve credit decision systems.
• Own technical solutions from start to finish with a Product Engineer mentality.
• Collaborate with product, credit/finance, compliance, support, and analytics teams globally.

What You Bring

• Strong experience using Java (ideally .NET too) in scalable technical environments.
• Demonstrated experience working in AWS-native environments, using tools like DynamoDB, Athena, and Lambda.
• Experience with scaled technical solutions and increasing the scalability of a platform.
• Clear communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical solutions.
