Role Summary

We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to enhance our core application infrastructure. This is a pivotal individual contributor role that offers substantial architecture ownership over backend design, scaling robust APIs, and upgrading microservices. While our baseline enterprise logic is engineered using Java and Spring Boot, we are actively expanding our next-generation services to incorporate Python and FastAPI frameworks to meet evolving real-time data needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Core Engineering: Architecture, design, and implement mission-critical backend application services and production-grade REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Real-Time Data Handling: Manage real-time data streaming pipelines, event integrations, and multi-tier operational databases to facilitate instantaneous reporting and notification outputs.
• Modern Tech Expansion: Collaborate across cross-functional engineering squads to optimize legacy processes, introducing high-performance modules using Python and FastAPI where required.
• Lifecycle Operations: Take ownership of test execution configurations, issue resolution workflows, code refactoring, and production readiness to ensure flawless release management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of verified professional experience in backend software engineering with a primary focus on Java and Spring Boot architectures.
• Proficient in designing scalable API endpoints, managing transaction boundaries, and documenting system logic.
• Solid working knowledge or practical project exposure using Python and FastAPI to handle microservice routing or automated data components.
• Deep database proficiency utilizing relational database management systems (RDBMS) to optimize data storage, indexing, and high-velocity query retrieval.
• Language Fluency: Must be fluent in both Arabic and English with strong communication skills to interface with distributed global development teams.
• Location Context: Remote-first structure open to qualified talent authorized to support workflows out of Cairo, Egypt.

Preferred Assets (Nice to Have)

• Familiarity with event-driven architectures, message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ), and real-time data streaming workflows.
• Experience setting up production pipelines inside modern cloud native environments.
