Our technology stack includes an event-driven architecture of domain-specific services organized in a monorepo with automated CI/CD pipelines, and a serverless approach. We prioritize agility, autonomy, and minimal overhead, fostering close collaboration with minimal meetings.

- Betpool (innovative social gaming solution).
The role of a Senior Back End Developer involves:
- Developing and maintaining our gaming platform, including customer-facing features, compliance and reporting systems, and core platform components.
- Reviewing and debugging code with a focus on quality, data integrity, edge cases, and unintended effects across the platform.
- Participating in software design and architecture discussions.
- Taking ownership of changes throughout the software development lifecycle, clarifying requirements, assessing impact, and verifying behavior post-release.
- Collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and partners.
- Using AI-assisted development tools, scripting, and automation to enhance development and engineering workflows, while critically evaluating outputs and ensuring quality.
- Designing and performing tests to verify business rules, data accuracy, and failure scenarios, working closely with QA to ensure adequate coverage.
Requirements
Ideal candidates will have:
- Knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and the Node.js ecosystem.
- Experience with AWS solutions such as DynamoDB, Kinesis, Lambda, QuickSight, and S3.
- Experience designing and maintaining automated unit and integration tests.
- An analytical and methodical approach to problem-solving, with a strong focus on investigating unclear requirements and underlying causes.
- The ability to work independently.
- Self-management and communication skills.
- Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer with a focus on back-end development.
- Experience with event-driven architectures.
- Experience developing highly available, fault-tolerant systems and maintaining data consistency in event-driven architectures.
- Practical experience using AI tools in software development, with the ability to critically review generated code and validate its behavior; an interest in extending AI and automation into engineering workflows.
- Experience with compliance, regulatory reporting, or systems where data accuracy, traceability, and auditability are essential would be advantageous.
General expectations include:
- High communication standards, including participation in team chats, providing help when needed, and seeking help when necessary.
- Pro-activeness, such as planning your own work, seeking new tasks, and participating in activities beyond primary tasks.
- Professionalism, including delivering high-quality work and suggesting improvements.
- Kindness and a positive attitude towards colleagues.
