Position Overview

We are seeking an exceptionally skilled, execution-obsessed, and architecture-minded Senior Android Engineer to join our core product division under a permanent, full-time B2B contractor engagement framework open exclusively to candidates based in Brazil. Operating as a critical mobile contributor, you will step up to claim absolute native code creation, architectural scaling, and launch readiness accountability as we completely rebuild our massive flagship app from scratch. Shifting completely away from routine landing page updates, cross-platform web-view wrappers, or basic tool scripts, you will run an active declarative UI layout, multi-tier threat profiling, and asynchronous thread optimization laboratory—partnering face-to-face with iOS developers, product owners, UX designers, and cloud backend engineers. This position requires a native mobile authority with 5+ years of experience who writes robust application states fluidly natively using Android and Kotlin toolsets, evaluates complex data persistence streams cleanly across local database modules, and directs deployment pipelines confidently inside the Google Play Console.

Key Responsibilities

• Ground-Up Application Architecture: Co-author and implement the foundational design patterns, layer boundaries, and performance benchmarks for a completely fresh native mobile rebuild servicing millions of users.
• Modern Declarative UI Building: Build, scale, and polish clean, highly interactive user experiences aligned tightly with Google’s Material Design guidelines cleanly natively utilizing Android and Jetpack Compose libraries.
• Asynchronous State and Thread Logic: Structure robust background tasks, network queries, and reactive data propagation models utilizing Coroutines and Flow frameworks.
• API Integration and Data Hygiene: Map, configure, and maintain highly reliable client-server data operations, integrating REST or GraphQL endpoints with robust local caching models using Room, Realm, or SQLite databases.
• Rigorous Test Automation Governance: Ensure total feature stability prior to release, writing and executing comprehensive unit and interface testing suites using JUnit, Espresso, and Robolectric frameworks.
• Google Play Distribution Ownership: Lead the version release cycle independently, managing app store compliance checks, certificate configurations, and automated CI/CD deployment routines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of verified professional history specializing in native Android application development.
• Masterful technical command of modern Android development, showcasing deep practical engineering depth with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Coroutines.
• Solid architectural proficiency handling client-side data storage, with practical knowledge of relational local database integrations (e.g., Room or SQLite).
• Proven background collaborating productively within cross-functional distributed teams, showing an innate ability to take full feature ownership from concept to live deployment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication strengths in English, allowing you to explain technical architectural decisions without losing structural clarity.
