Role Summary

We are seeking a hungry, self-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to build, manage, and own the top of our Southeast Asian sales funnel. Serving as the primary point of contact for the Indonesian market, you will qualify high-intent inbound leads, execute strategic outbound prospecting sequences, and conduct scalable group product demos to accelerate pipeline velocity alongside our Account Executive (AE) pods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inbound Qualification: Rapidly engage, score, and route inbound customer inquiries to regional Account Executives with speed and clear background context.
  • Outbound Prospecting: Identify, research, and systematically contact high-value target accounts across Indonesia verticals including E-commerce, Retail, Fintech, EdTech, and Food & Beverage.
  • Scalable Product Demos: Structure and run compelling product cohort demos for prospective business buyers, articulating Wati’s automation value clearly.
  • Outbound System Management: Maintain absolute CRM hygiene inside internal databases, A/B test outbound email/message sequences, and isolate performance blocks to maximize pipeline health.
  • Pipeline KPI Alignment: Consistently smash weekly activity benchmarks, MQL-to-SQL conversion milestones, and general pipeline contribution metrics.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of professional experience in a Sales, Business Development (BDR/SDR), or client-facing customer acquisition function (SaaS or B2B tech background heavily preferred).
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding outbound pipeline conversion metrics.
  • Elite communication mechanics—highly skilled at drafting cold sequences that yield responses and running engaging presentation sessions.
  • Hands-on system user familiarity with CRM suites (such as HubSpot or Salesforce) and modern sales engagement software layers.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable maintaining metrics inside a rapid startup workspace.
  • Non-Negotiable Language Skills: Complete professional fluency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia (written and verbal).
  • Nice to Have: Conversational capabilities in Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, or Cantonese for regional cross-market collaborative setups.
