The Sales & Business Development Representative at Cynet Systems will create new sales opportunities through targeted outbound prospecting. This role involves researching target accounts, engaging prospective clients by phone and email, qualifying early-stage needs, and scheduling discovery meetings for the sales team.
About the Role:
Reporting directly to the AVP of Sales, the Sales BDR will drive prospect engagement and generate qualified opportunities. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, persistence, and confidence in initiating outreach to key decision-makers. Key indicators of success include securing quality discovery meetings, executing disciplined CRM tracking, and maintaining proactive engagement with potential clients.
What will you be doing day to day?
- Build and execute a structured outbound prospecting plan to generate new business opportunities.
- Research prospective accounts, contacts, industries, and business needs before outreach.
- Conduct cold calls and personalized email outreach to introduce Cynet Systems and start relevant conversations.
- Qualify prospects using defined criteria, including business need, decision-making process, timing, and fit.
- Schedule qualified discovery meetings for senior leadership.
- Respond professionally to inbound phone or email inquiries and route qualified opportunities appropriately.
- Follow up consistently with prospects who are not immediately reachable or ready to engage.
- Maintain accurate, timely records of calls, emails, outcomes, tasks, and next steps in the CRM.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to refine messaging, target lists, and outreach cadence.
- Meet or exceed activity, meeting, and pipeline-creation goals while maintaining a high-quality prospect experience.
Requirements
Your Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in outbound lead generation, sales development, business development, recruiting, or a related client-facing role.
- Demonstrated comfort making cold calls to US-based business prospects and handling early-stage objections.
- Clear, confident verbal and written communication in English.
- Experience using HubSpot as a CRM to document outreach and manage leads; familiarity with sales engagement tools is a plus.
- Ability to research companies and contacts, identify potential business needs, and tailor outreach accordingly.
- Experience working remotely with US-based clients or internal stakeholders.
