Revenue and Billing Operations Manager

The Finance team at TRM keeps revenue and billing accurate, automated, and audit-ready as the company scales. As the Revenue and Billing Operations Manager, you will own the billing function and contribute to revenue accounting, building scalable processes, replacing manual work with automation, and ensuring records and controls are always audit-ready. You’ll shape the function from a lean base, deciding what to automate, building the right controls, and creating processes that can scale with TRM.

The Impact You Will Have:

• Automate manual billing work, reconciliations, invoice generation, exception flagging, and data validation, building AI-assisted workflows and owning the review and controls that ensure accuracy and audit readiness.

• Strengthen revenue accounting so our records are accurate and consistently audit-ready, using AI to accelerate reconciliations and documentation while verifying what touches the books.

• Evaluate and implement billing solutions that fit how TRM works, using AI to compare options, assess tradeoffs, and model impact.

• Build a prioritized automation roadmap: decide what to automate first and next, and measure the time it gives back to the team.

• Build scalable, resilient billing processes that keep pace with growth and reduce key-person dependency.

• Partner with Sales, Legal, and Accounting to evaluate how contracts and policies are structured and their downstream billing impact.

What We're Looking For:

• Demonstrated AI fluency: you can identify which finance processes to automate, build the workflows, and articulate where AI output must be verified before it is trusted.

• Senior experience across revenue accounting and billing operations.

• Hands-on experience leading the evaluation and implementation of billing solutions and automating billing or finance processes.

• Experience leading external audits and building and maintaining audit-ready processes and controls.

• Strategic judgment on automation sequencing and designing effective, scalable controls.

• A hands-on, builder mindset: you’re comfortable operating in the details, solving problems directly, and doing the work yourself as part of a lean team.

• Clear cross-functional communication with Sales, Legal, and Accounting.

About the Team:

• The Finance team is lean and fast-moving; this role adds senior capacity and redundancy to revenue and billing.

• You will have real ownership and the mandate to modernize the function, not just maintain it.

• The work is demanding: doing more with less, ahead of a first-year audit, on a team that moves fast.

Team Operating Rhythms:

• The team is distributed, not distant, with strong async communication and US working-hours overlap.

• Close collaboration with Sales/Deal Desk, Accounting, and Legal.

Learn About TRM Speed:

• Within the first 90 days, automate at least one high-volume manual billing process end to end with documented controls.

• In the first 30 days, map the full revenue and billing process and identify the top automation opportunities.

• Within the first two quarters, deliver an audit-ready improvement to revenue accounting ahead of the first-year audit.
