Revenue Accountant

About the Role: Dropbox is a Virtual First company seeking a Revenue Accountant to join our high-performing Order to Cash accounting team. You will play a key part in revenue accounting operations, supporting the monthly close, ensuring compliance with accounting policies, and driving process improvements as Dropbox continues to grow and evolve.

What You'll Do

• Support the monthly and quarterly close processes, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analysis.
• Own accounting for outbound revenue programs, including Sales Compensation and Market Development Funds (MDF).
• Evaluate and document technical accounting conclusions in accordance with ASC 606 and ASC 340 for new go-to-market initiatives.
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Engineering teams to provide accounting guidance on program structures.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives, leveraging AI tools to improve the efficiency and scalability of accounting operations.

What You Bring

• 4+ years of experience in revenue accounting, including experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) or a high-growth tech company.
• Strong understanding and practical application of revenue recognition guidance (ASC 606 & ASC 340).
• Experience working with complex revenue arrangements in a SaaS or subscription-based business model.
• Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to analyze large datasets and perform ad hoc analyses.
• Bonus: CPA or equivalent professional certification, familiarity with Oracle ERP, and Salesforce CRM platforms.

• Expected annual salary range: $96,200 - $146,500 USD based on US remote zone.
